As Central Health returns to Alert Level 5 measures in response to an increase in COVID-19 cases in Newfoundland and Labrador, the Regional Health Authority remains committed to providing a person and family centered approach to care within public health guidelines.
With visitor restrictions in place at its facilities (please see https://www.centralhealth.nl.ca/post/visitor-restrictions-implemented-at-all-central-health-facilities), Central Health understands that family members and friends still need support.
To help assist loved ones, please be advised that Central Health has implemented a process to help deliver packages dropped off for patients/clients/residents at the main entrance.
Please ensure the following Infection Prevention and Control guidelines are followed for any patient/client/resident deliveries:
Pre-packaged foods are preferred, however, individual/single serving homemade foods in disposable containers are acceptable
Clothes should be laundered/cleaned before drop-off
All parcels/packages should be dropped at the entry point to a facility and should not require the individual or family member to enter the facility
Please encourage families to bring any needed items in one visit rather than multiple visits
Parcels/Packages should be delivered in a clear bag so that items can be viewed
Parcels/packages should be clearly labelled with the patient’s name and the sender/family name.
For delivery hours, please connect with your loved one's healthcare facility or Tracy Waterman, Central Health’s Client Navigator, if you have additional questions. Tracy can be reached at Clientnavigation@centralhealth.nl.ca, or 709-651-6214.
