Central Health would like to advise that COVID-19 testing will continue in Lewisporte on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 12:00 noon to 8:00pm at the Philadelphia Pentecostal Tabernacle in Lewisporte.
Bookings for this clinic have been completed. There will be no drop-in availability for testing.
Thank you to everyone who has showed up for testing. Your patience and understanding despite the lengthy waits has been greatly appreciated by everyone involved. Central Health will determine if further testing clinics are required and will advise if and when more clinics will be planned. We will continue to provide information as more clinics are booked throughout the week.
You do not need to self-isolate while waiting for results unless you have symptoms.
This broader testing is part of the public health investigation to identify people who may not be aware that they have COVID-19. Being tested is an opportunity to help protect the health of all residents.
Everyone is reminded to follow public health measures including wearing masks, practicing good hand hygiene, staying home as much as possible, avoiding entering stores or establishments outside the community and avoid holding gatherings for the time being.
