Full Visitor Restrictions Implemented at Connaigre Peninsula Health Centre in Harbour Breton

May 16, 2023: Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services advises the public that visitor restrictions are in place at Connaigre Peninsula Health Centre due to the increased presence of gastrointestinal illness in the facility.

Visitation is not permitted at this time. Palliative care visitations will be determined in collaboration with the patient, family and care team. Individuals requiring information about visitation restrictions should call 709-884-2043.

The above restrictions will remain in effect until further notice. Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services would like to thank the public for their co-operation at this time.

The public is also reminded not to visit any health care facility if they feel ill or are experiencing flu-like or gastrointestinal symptoms. For infection prevention, the public is advised to wash their hands frequently, cover their coughs or sneezes with a tissue or the crook of their arms and refrain from touching their faces.
