Wait Times
Wait times are a measure of how efficiently clients are gaining access to medical treatment and care. They also indicate the health care system's ability to meet the continually changing demands to provide care in the most appropriate setting in a timely way.
This information is used by your health care providers to monitor and manage wait lists, and to identify solutions when waits exist.
Wait Time Data
Each Regional Health Authority is required to monitor and report wait time data to the Department of Health and Community Services (DoHCS) on a regular basis. This information is verified for accuracy by each RHA and then submitted. The information includes no client identifiers, and upon receipt is compiled by the DoHCS and posted on their website.
